Core-to-Pore Petrography Workflow for Unconventional Reservoirs
Nanometer-scale porosity in unconventional gas shale core samples demands that the core-to-pore length scale be increased to 5 or 6 orders of magnitude. Large-scale, high-resolution images acquired with MAPS provide a framework for identifying areas of interest, and are a key part of our multiscale imaging workflow for unconventional core samples.
